I have always loved looking at pictures. That is where it all started. Even as a little girl, my favorite thing to do was thumb through the family albums.
As I got older, it became equally important to me to be able to take a picture the way I saw it... you know what I mean, the sun is in a weird place or it's kinda dark and you want to get all those shadows and neat natural light... well, lucky for me my older brother also had a photography hobby and he bought a course from the New York Institute of Photography and was nice enough to give it to me when he was done... it did change the way I shot and thought about shooting... it was no longer a lucky shot, it was a thoughtfully composed and exposed shot.
Well, after my daughter was born my business was born with it. Friends wanted me to shoot their children... their friends wanted me to shoot their son's wedding... and before you knew it I had spun doing what I love into a full time job!
Now that is a gift.
My father passed away not to long ago. Shortly after he died I had this dream that I was holding a very large photo album and was slowly turning the pages and seeing pictures of us. It was beautiful and moving. I will ALWAYS believe that he sent that dream to me and spoke to me in a language that I would understand perfectly.
When I take your pictures, I want to give you images that you will come back to time and again. I want you to smile and cry... I want your children to laugh... and dream.
